Back Pain When I first sought Dr. April's help I had such lower back pain that in the morning's I could hardly pull on my pants, tie my shoes or even sit or walk for any period of time without pain or being able to stand up straight…. My husband went to the deer lease and I couldn't even ride with him on the four wheeler around the property as this motion hurt my back. The back pain also kept me from exercising, so consequently I ended up gaining weight back that I had lost previously, which didn't help with the pain either. I started with therapy and slowly the pain started to subside after the stretching and adjustments at HealthSource. Eventually I was able to walk, sit and tie my shoes without as much pain. I am now pain free and just come in for maintenance visits. 4. Back Pain November 8, 2008 When I came to HealthSource, I was in severe pain in my lower back, down through my left hip and in both thighs. I had been in pain for almost a year. Also, I could not sleep at night nor could I do any of my outdoor activities. I went to a back doctor and he put me on steroids for a couple of weeks but it did not ease the pain. I waited a few weeks hoping the pain would get better but it did not. I then went to a chiropractor to see if he could help. He immediately started adjusting my back and neck without taking any X-rays and not really knowing what was wrong with me. I went to him for 6 weeks but the pain was not getting any better. I had determined that I was going to have to just live with the pain. My wife talked me into going to HealthSource, she had severe neck pain and they had cured her pain. I was leery about going to another chiropractor since the last one I had gone to did not help me. She finally talked me into going and was I thankful. HealthSource took X-rays and a scan of my back. I knew at that point they knew what they were doing. The doctor evaluated my X-rays before starting any adjustments.
