2 Unit 6 will be in your second interactive notebook! There’s just too much great stuff to learn in sixth grade for it to all fit in one book!! You should skip the first 3 pages (six front-to- back) for the Table of Contents. On the fourth page, label it “page 145”, so that it picks up right where we left off with the first MSG. Go ahead and number pages 145 – 169 for Unit 6. Sixth-Grade Math MSG Part 2

4 Write “Unit 6: Statistics” and decorate. Put a tab that says “Unit 6” on the side. Pg. 145

5 Take the top right corner of pg. 148 and fold it down to the spine of your book. Then turn back to page 147 and glue or tape the right hand side and bottom of page 147 to pg. 149 to make your vocab pocket. Keep your Unit 6 vocabulary and other important handouts in this pocket! Pg. 147 - 149

6 Glue or tape your Unit 6 Standards, Checklist and Concept Map sheet onto page 151. On pg. 150, write “Unit 6: Statistics” in a circle in the middle of the page. Please use the directions on the bottom of the sheet to unpack the standards and create your own concept map on page 150. Pg. 150 - 151

7 Cut along the dotted line. Glue/tape ONLY the top part of the “Understanding Statistical Questions” sheet to page 153. You should be able to lift up the 2 flaps. Pg. 153

8 Glue or tape your “Dot Plots” sheet onto page 155. Pg. 155

9 Glue or tape your “Making a Frequency Table with Intervals” sheet onto page 156. Glue or tape your “Frequency Tables” sheet on page 157. Pg. 156 – 157

10 Glue or tape “Making a Histogram” to p. 158. Glue or tape “What is a Histogram?” to p. 159. Pg. 158 – 159

11 Glue or tape “Making Box Plots” to page 160. Glue or tape “Box Plots” to page 161. Pg. 160 – 161

12 Glue or tape “Let’s Take a Closer Look!” to pg. 162. Glue or tape “Analyzing Data: Center, Spread, and Shape” to pg. 163. Pg. 162 – 163

13 1 - Fold the “Mean, Median, Mode” page in half, “hamburger-style”. 2 - Then, cut along the dotted lines up to the fold. 3 - Glue/tape the right side of the sheet to page 165. 4 - Label the flaps “Mean”, “Median”, and “Mode”. Pg. 165
