1. Good Morning Seminole and welcome to this Half Day Wednesday, January13th 2010!

2. There will be a multicultural committee meeting today after school in room C-7. This is a VERY important meeting, we will be discussing activates for the end of the month, be sure to attend !! See senor Eby in C-7 for any questions or concerns.

3. Baseball tryouts will be held MONDAY January 18 th at 3 pm. PLEASE be at the field by 2:45 to begin stretching. ALL players MUST have there participation packet turned in, in order to tryout !!!

4. Any current 10 th and 11 th grade student who would like to consider the Early College Program for the next school year, needs to attend the informational meeting. The meeting will be January 28 th from 7-9 pm at the conference center at the SPC Seminole Campus.

5. Students- if you have lost any items please check lost and found prior to January 21 st. We will be cleaning out the Lost and Found and all items not picked up will be thrown out.

6. Spanish National Honor Society make sure you come in & get your t-shirt. They are available until Friday, January 15 th ; theyre only $10, so stop by C-2 to get yours today!

7. Last night, the Seminole Varsity & Junior Varsity Wrestling team competed in a dual match against Largo High school. The jv warhawks won there dual match 21-18. The following wrestlers won there matches: Nico Pillow & Mike Abott won by pin. Aaron Gaunt won by decison & Jacob Wing won by forfeit. The Varsity Wrestling team lost their dual match 46-24. Mitch Larivee won by forfeit, Garrett Campbell & Lucas Hayden won by decision. Mitch Collins & Jeremy Ricker won by a pin.

8. Attention Juniors and Seniors, if you are interested in learning more about which careers match your skills and interests, the ASVAB (Armed Services Aptitude Battery) will be given on Wednesday, January 27 th at 7:00am in the back cafeteria. There is no cost to take this test. Please see Mr. Eliason in the Guidance Office to sign up before January 25 th.

9. If you missed purchasing your SHS sweatshirt or sweatpants you are in luck. The junior Class is proud to announce that the will be selling the sweats ALL this week!! Prices very from $18.00 to $25.00, be sure to get yours !!

10. ATTENTION SENIORS Grad fees are now being collected through January 29 at the senior window during both lunches. Grad fees are $80. Fees paid AFTER Jan 29 are subject to late fees. Please do not interrupt classes to pay fees.

11. Do you have great pictures from Halloween or Thanksgiving break? Yearbook staff needs pictures so bring them into room d-5 by Friday January 15 th to see your pictures in the yearbook!

12. Attention to any athletes who are struggling to bring up your grades, there will be free tutoring right after school TODAY in room A7, if you wish to bring up your grades this is a great oppurtunity for you.

13. C- SPAN 2010 Student Cam documentary video Competition, total amount of awards up to 50,000 $ with 12,000 $ for local entrants check your student home page for the link or see mr heath in the media center.

14. This is a reminder for all those that intend to participate in track. We begin officially on Monday, January 25 th. You can NOT participate if your paperwork is not completed. Please get this responsibility taken care of so that you dont miss out on this wonderful sport !!

15. Attention save club. Dont forget there is a meeting this Thursday after school to distribute shirts, hope see you there !!!

16. There will be a national honor society meeting on Friday January 15 th in the back cafe at 2pm. All hours and points are due by Friday,January 29 th.
