Encourage kids to chew fully 3. Remove chocking hazards Falls: 1. Surround crib with soft materials 2. Secure child on changing table 3. Secure possible climbing areas Heatstroke: 1. Wear lightweight/colored clothes 2. Apply sunscreen efficiently 3. Have them drink plenty of fluids Drowning: 1. Always supervise child in water 2. Keep toilet lids baby proofed 3. Keeps bathroom and laundry room doors closed and secure

Poison Control American Association of Poison Control Centers #1 (800) 222 – 1222 Procedures by American Red Cross Keep all Chemicals and medicines locked up and out of sight Be careful when using substances by wearing protective clothing such as gloves Poisoning First Aid Procedures: Check the scene and the person. Find out what poison was taken and read the bottles Call the National Poison Control Center and follow their instructions Care for any life threatening constructions found. DO NOT give the person anything to eat or drink unless instructed to by the NPCC or Emergency Medical Services

FIRST AID Burns o 1 st : Soak in cool water. Treat o 2 nd : Soak and bandage o 3 rd : Go to the hospital Choking: Give back blows and CPR Cut: Disinfect the wound and properly bandage Falls o Fracture: Ice and bandage o Sprain: Ice, Compress, Elevate. Bruises: Ice and rest Shock: Lay the person down and treat obvious injuries. Do CPR if needed. Keep them warm and go to the hospital Knocked Out Tooth: Collect tooth and keep in glass of milk. Control bleeding and sooth pain Lice: Remove lice and eggs by using subscripted shampoos Bee Sting: Remove stinger and wash the stung area. Apply cold compress
