10 Teacher Eligibility Test Teacher Eligibility Test As of 11/24/2000 1. Is the individual employed full-time by a local public school district or public school academy? 2. Does the individual work in an elementary or secondary school operated by a district (not ISD)? 3. Does the individual have a valid Michigan teaching certificate?

Is the class offered for credit at the secondary level or required for grade progression at the elementary level? 6. Does the individual have classroom instruction responsibilities other than managing/ directing/ supervising independent study?

If you are employed as an elementary specialty teacher (i.e. art, music, physical education), counselor, Title I teacher, reading specialist, speech teacher or special education teacher, do you serve as the primary instructor? ___Yes, I serve as the primary instructor for at least one class. ___No, I serve as a resource person to the classroom teacher and/or to students.

13 Provides Classroom Instruction"? 1. Teaches a class as part of an elementary or secondary school program. 2. The class is offered for credit (secondary) or required for grade progression (elementary).

14 Provides Classroom Instruction"? 3.It is expected that a classroom teacher would: Take attendance. Assign report card grades. Complete student progress reports. Meet with parents to discuss the students' progress on curriculum, etc. 4.Those who only manage/direct/supervise an independent study are not eligible to participate.

29 Alternatives to the TTI Original Intent To deviate from the original intention: Majority vote of the building's eligible teaching staff Concurrence of the school building's administration Alternatives allowed by the state: Building-level or classroom-level technology- related improvements Teacher professional development in technology

30 CV Alternative Tech Items aligned with CVs tech plan have been selected from the REMC catalog. These allowable alternatives are for classroom use only, not for home. CV is not responsible for any related costs: repair, shipping, consumables.

31 CV Alternative Tech Multiple teachers may pool TTI money to obtain items more expensive than $1200. Teachers may not realize $1200 in value if they opt for alternatives. The short list is posted on the CV TTI web page.CV TTI web page
