3 Goal Rewire your brain to know you can make it through the tough or tougher times and be better! Accomplish what you dream or have to accomplish

4 Step 1: What is the tough time Identify your triggers What are the changes that you are going through Acknowledge that the change will be difficult and even hurt Give yourself 48 hours to release the negative emotions then move on. Learn to number the stress 1 – 10

5 Step 2: Begin an Action Plan Begin an action plan Brainstorm as many solutions as possible Ask everyone and anyone for guidance, help, solutions Look to the web or past history – who has been through something similar - copy their successes

6 Step 3: Dive in the pool Do not think about failure or success just focus on trying What is the first step –as tiny or large- doesn’t matter A resilient mind set can be achieved at any age.

7 Step 4: Self Praise Praise yourself… recognition is key to continuing Keep believing …

8 Step 5: Keep on keeping on What’s next and next. Questions to ask yourself? Do you need to reevaluate? Ask yourself how are you doing? What else can you do? How open are you to change?

9 How to get back up Don’t blame others Analyze what happened Release negative thoughts – focus on the positive Get a mentor Seek support – do not go it alone Make a plan

10 Best Practices Sleep, eat and exercise recharge the brain to be at its best Laughter is just plain fun and good for the soul Human relationships help us keep on going Reframing – “it could be worse” puts everything in perspective Take a mental break ( or physical one)

11 More Best Practices Bubble baths, showers, pets, funny movies (or very sad ones) Reading a great book, cooking, gardening, chewing and enjoying food… all mindful tasks that have us stop and think about just how great life is Even studying family genealogy can help.. what have your ancestors been through
