1  Charming Chateau for primary school children.  Owned by established British educational trip specialists, Travelbound.  English Travelbound staff on site during our stay.  Security includes two night guards patrolling the Chateau overnight, perimeter wall, locked buildings, rooms & windows, all Travelbound staff stay onsite. 3 Honfleur Bayeux Chatêau du Molay (Le Molay-Littry) The Chateau is approximately four hours from Calais and is situated in the village of Le Molay- Littry.

4  Ideal base for exploring historic sites of World War II and experiencing delicious local produce.  Set in 38 acres of private parkland in the beautiful Normandy countryside.  14km from Bayeux and 15km from the coast and D-Day landing beaches.  In-house staff who encourage students to speak French at mealtimes.  Activities led by English and French speaking instructors. 8 Mont St Michel and Alligator Bay A fortified island in Normandy. Home to the Mont St Michel monastery Tortoises, lizards, snakes and alligators galore!

9 Run by Travelbound instructors. Could include:  French quizzes & games  Disco  Teambuilding and sporting activities  Karaoke  It’s a knockout Evening entertainment

10 Eating There will be breakfast and dinner every day where we will eat as a group in the dining hall. A full packed lunch will be provided everyday. All allergies are catered for by being cooked and served separately.

11  Rooms at the chateau vary in size. They sleep from 4 to 10 children and each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom.  Adults rooms are interspersed along the corridor between the children’s rooms.  Children will be asked to write down the friends that they would be happy to share a room with. The year 6 teachers will then allocate rooms ensuring that children are with at least one of the friends they requested. Rooms

12 We will be travelling from school on the coach and will get the ferry from Dover to Calais. We will be asking children to arrive at school at approx. 6.30am. This will be confirmed nearer the time. There will be designated places in the playground clearly labelled for children to leave their luggage. Once at Calais, we will travel to Honfleur where we will stop and have lunch. We will then continue on to Le Molay-Littry. We should arrive at the Chateau late afternoon, meet the instructors, unpack, have dinner and enjoy our first evening activity. Monday 19 th October

No sweets please Empty bag for dirty clothes. Trainers / comfy footwear. Plenty of layers Winter coat Sun cream and sunglasses (if we’re lucky!) Hat Water bottle A named purse/wallet This list will be on the website. Kit list (Please make sure items are labelled) Please ensure your child can carry/wheel their suitcase or bag themselves.

15 What to hand in Medical forms Medical forms must be handed to your child’s class teacher by Wednesday 23rd September Passports and EHIC cards Your child’s passport, European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). PLEASE CHECK THAT THE EHIC CARD IS IN DATE. It is school policy that all children must travel with a EHIC. 16 Medication Please make sure all medication is clearly labelled with your child’s name, dosage, times of administering and that it is in date. You may need to order an extra inhaler as we will need to hold a spare. Travel sickness tablets – please make sure your child has taken this the morning we are leaving and provide one for the day journeys, return journey (if required) Pocket Money Please give in in a named envelope (maximum €30 – small notes are better). 17 Mrs Askin will be at the end of the Year 5/6 corridor by the door to collect in passports, EHIC, medication and pocket money on:  Wednesday 30 th September from 8.30-8.50am  Thursday1 st October from 8.30-8.50am Please do not hand these things in at the office. When to hand in

18 We will phone school and they will update the website when we arrive. We won’t be able to update the website while we are away due to no internet connection. When we are there…
