Beverly Hamilton is a Florida Native who is enjoying a distinguished career in Public Service. She has degrees in Communications and Education from Savannah State University and UNF. She currently serves as the Volunteer Coordinator of Community Connections of Jacksonville (communityconnectionsjax.org). Most members remember the YWCA and its focus on serving single young women. In 2000, YWCA Jax broadened its mission to better serve single women with children in crisis and changed its name to Community Connections. Beverly described the organization’s programs which assist those families toward becoming self reliant and stable. Her presentation was well received, thought provoking and followed by a useful question and answer session. --Jay Ambler, Feb Program Coord SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE Good Job Team!
