6 Page 5 Clinical Trials Billing System Policy and Oversight Committee for Clinical Trials Billing appointed in late 2003 One of the charges to the committee was to lead the institution in the selection of information systems to support clinical trial functions Two products were reviewed Oracle SiteMinder Advanced Clinical Software Study Manager Oracle SiteMinder was the preferred product by the review team

7 Page 6 SiteMinder Pilot Project Physician Director has recently been named to lead the project A pilot project will initially be conducted in the Cancer Center Objectives over the course of the pilot Define and identify the costs of interfacing to our hospital and clinical billing systems Determine the number of licenses to be purchased Determine the consulting and other costs of a full implementation Based on our experience with the Pilot, a full project scope and budget will be prepared and presented at a future BOT meeting
