12 Community profile assignment overview You will receive an email pairing you up with someone for this class. You will present your profile assignment in week 4

13 Social Studies Now You will sign up to present one daily report this semester. On your selected day, you will prepare and present a Social Studies Now report to the class. They include: A brief but detailed update on a significant current event (use various news sources). Today in History (Commonwealth, Nation, AND World) Share some activity of interest available this week (or next) at JMU or in the Harrisonburg area that is related to at least one of the five disciplines of social studies Social Studies-themed children’s book (review the book for us) A moment of historical wonder. What would you have done if you were there? Consider the impact of one of the historical events you shared above. What if it had never happened or if it had a different outcome? You will see a similar assignment in Dr. Almarode’s science class. Thanks, Dr. Almarode
