2. About the school The school has 289 children aged between 4 and 11 years. It was opened in 1969 and replaced the original school at Gregory Street. The school’s idea is to ‘ give all pupils the opportunity to develop respect and tolerance for each other by working and playing together.’ The teacher’s use different strategies and organisations to provide a range of learning opportunities that help every individual to reach his or her potential. The head teacher is Mr Stuart Jones.

3. The uniform The boys mostly wear sweatshirts and a black trousers. The girls wear blue dresses or a polo with the logo of Lydgate Junior school.

9. Interview with Mr. Daly Do you enjoy teaching the children? Yes, it is lots of fun ! Why did you become a teacher at this school? It is a very nice school in a nice area. I love working with children and in the age 10. I have done my work experience at a school and I really enjoyed it.

10. Interview with Mr. Daly What part of your job do you enjoy most? Every day is different and it is not boring and you get to know the children. This is really cool. How long did you have to study? 3 years at the university but most teachers do 4. How do you deal with inclusion and differences of the children ? Different work as the other children, extra preparation, sometimes they had their own teacher.
