1 Gujarat School & college Sports league
Five sports seven leagues in four zones and one state league for 10,000 participants with Cash prize of Rs 3.5 Crore

2 Objective To provide continuous competitive platform over long period to the players of Gujarat To develop spirit of competitiveness and sense of pride for school & college To help laying better selection process for state teams To make the stake holders namely schools, colleges & associations owners of the league

3 Concept State league and zonal league (four zones)
Rajkot (Saurashtra), Surat(South Gujarat), (North Gujarat) Ahmedabad & Vadodara(Central Gujarat) Eight teams (flexible) in each zone and also at state level Each play each mostly on Sunday on home n away principle followed by semifinals and finals At the end of the league first three prizes to be given

4 Role of SAG To coordinate & provide management support in the initial phase till proper set up created Cash prizes to winner teams ( prize to school n college) of state and zonal league To provide minimal financial support for conduct of state/zonal league matches To help getting grounds and other logistic support Publicity in the initial phase To help making league sustainable and viable

5 Role of state Sports Association
To prepare format, rules of the league To ensure matches are played as per the rule of games To have complete technical supervision of the league To ensure draw and maintain point talley etc Talent scouting

6 Selection of team Registration (fees /-) for any school or college team on Any current bonafide player of the school/college can represent the team (Bring I’card or photograph attested and certified by school/college principal) Knock out Tournament within each zone will be conducted to decide two top teams of the zone to play state league directly and other eight teams to play zonal league Depending on circumstances and interest shown there can be more local leagues or more team in each zone If in sufficient numbers in zone found; no league will be started in that zone

7 Progression of league There will be relegation from state league to zonal league If District/city leagues are established; the winners to be upgraded to zonal league Last two teams of zonal league to be relegated to district league and winners to be upgraded to state league Exact rules will be formed by technical committees

8 Sports included Football (Boys) Basket Ball (Girls & Boys)
Kabaddi (Boys) Kho Kho (Girls) Volley Ball (Boys & Girls) Depending upon interest shown; game can be increased or decreased in future

9 Role of participating schools in league
To arrange for team preparation and participation All expenses like travelling, kitting, food, coaching for the school/college to be born by the school/college Registration fees for selection and also to play in league To Manage match and bear expenses for home match (over and above payment support by government) Can take any sponsorship and use logo on school/college team apparel, advertisement etc Also take local sponsorship for organising home matches Essential to display central sponsors logo etc during match (matter to be provided by central committee) Can raise funds for local match/team sponsorship

10 Management of league Professional set up-league office
Steering committee at state level For each sports separate committee The school/college to be given responsibility of managing each league School trustees, principal, Sports association representative main sponsors to Zone/state league committee to be formed They are allowed to raise funds by way of sponsorship/donations/partnership

11 Cash Prize Total Rs 3.5 Crore
For each of the state league for each sports- Rs 5 lac, Rs 3.5 lac & Rs 2.5 lac for first second and third position in the league For each of the zonal league for each sports- Rs 2 lac, Rs 1 lac & 50 thousand for first, second and third prize Other expenses For each zonal match and state match assistance of Rs 3,000/- and Rs 5,000/- respectively Initial publicity Professional management set up in first year

12 Long term plan To make league self sustainable and run on principle of participative management To make league main source for talent scouting for state teams To make league prestigious to arouse enthusiasm amongst schools and colleges to feel proud to be part
