6 COMMON STYLE  For the most part both websites are very aesthetic.  They display pictures on their homepage.  They are very user friendly, making it very easy to upload pictures.

7 WHO IS THE AUDIENCE?  I would imagine the main audience of these websites to be young adults, as well as aspiring photographers.  Males and Females 14-25.

8 PERSONA 1: SAM  Sam is a caffeine addicted 23 year old from Somerton, PA.  He is finishing his final year in college.  One of his hobbies includes photography.  His parents do not want him pursuing a career in that field and insists that he get his masters degree in engineering.  As a way of compromising he spends his free time taking pictures of nature.

9 PERSONA 2: RACHAEL  Rachael is a 16 year old girl from Wisconsin, she aspires to move to Italy one day.  On a vacation to Europe, she made several new friends.  Unfortunately, they live all the way across the world.  Rachael wants the ability to keep in touch with her buddies daily lives.

10 GOALS  Sam: Sam wants to practice his photography skills and post pictures online to be judged.  Rachael: Rachael wants to post pictures so that her European friends can see how she is doing from across the world.

11 TASKS  Sam: Upload pictures that can be viewed by anyone, or possible talent scouts.  Rachael: Upload pictures that can be seen by only her friends with the ability to leave comments.

12 AUDIENCE’S LANGUAGE  Friendly  No Pressure  Happy  Supportive

13 WEBSITE’S MAIN GOALS  The user can upload pictures to their website.  They will be able to categorize them into albums.  There will be a comment section available.  Only approved users can access the server.

15 STEP 3: TASK ANALYSIS | SCENARIOS | TASK FLOW

16 USER STORIES  As a user I would like to have the ability to put my pictures into albums to find easier later on.  As a user I want the ability to leave comments on a photograph.

17 SCENARIO: CATEGORIZE  Monica just took a photo of the beautiful sunset.  She goes to the computer and saves the photo to her harddrive.  She goes to her website and is prompted to login.  After logging in she chooses the “Upload” button.  Afterwards she is prompted to choose where to store the location, she chooses the “Nature” album.

18 SCENARIO: COMMENT  Mike, Monica’s cousin, has been out of touch with the family for a few years.  He gets back in touch with Monica and she gives him access to her website.  He goes to the webpage and logs in.  Next he chooses to browse pictures  After looking at the family, he chooses the “comment” button to leave a nice note saying “Miss Everyone!”.
