2  Husband – Andrew – firefighter in Forest Park  Daughter-Julia-5  Son-Zachary-9months  Dog-black Labrador named Cosmo  This is my eighth year of teaching fifth grade.  I have also taught three and ½ years of 4 th grade and ½ of a year as a teaching assistant.  Received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University and my bachelors from ISU. Meet Mrs. Weber

7  Will ensure that all children are working at their level of challenge while taking responsibility for their learning and behavior.  Will provide meaningful instruction blocks.  The Daily Five-(we are only using four) is a series of literacy tasks (reading to self, reading with someone, writing, and word work) which students complete daily while the teacher meets with small groups or confers with individuals.  The Daily Five is a structure that will help students develop the daily habits of reading, writing, and working with peers that will lead to a lifetime of independent literacy.

10  Mrs. Weber, Mrs. Majewski, Mr. Perry: utilize EDMath and CCSS with small & whole group instruction; opportunities for re- teaching and extension.  Mrs. Stortz and Ms. Vlakancic: utilize EDMath and CCSS, accelerated pace with small & whole group instruction; opportunities for re- teaching and extenstion. Mrs. Maaske will push into these classrooms daily  All classrooms will focus on problem-solving and critical thinking.
