7. The Italian Renaissance The Renaissance in Italy also began as a result of the economic fortunes created by the geographic position of Italy. Art of the Italian Renaissance was greatly influenced by Greek and Roman styles.

8. Masaccio's Holy Trinity (1425) Masaccio is credited as the first Renaissance artist to re introduce the concept of perspective in art work.
