10 VIVA Priorities for 2008-10  Sustain current collections – Funding needed to sustain current collections due to enrollment growth and contractual cost increases.  Emphasize research growth in key subjects – Focus on key areas nursing and allied health engineering and information technology education – Chief focus on sponsored research enterprise  Support for the Interlibrary Loan expedited delivery program

11 Sustaining VIVA’s Vision  VIVA is equitable – VIVA levels the playing field  VIVA is cooperative – Decentralized organization structure – VIVA spends more than 96% of the total budget on direct services for our members  VIVA is cost-effective – VIVA brings in $5 of value for every $1 spent on electronic resources
