6 3207A, 3207B GEOMETRY (BLOCK) 2 Terms ½ Credit Each32081 (A), 32082 (B) GEOMETRY (SPLIT BLOCK) Grades 9 -12 Prerequisites: Algebra I *HEAR, NCAA Approved This course is designed for the typical math student, and is a branch of mathematics which examines the properties and relationships of points, lines and surfaces. Its purpose is to develop a basic understanding of geometric concepts, practice critical thinking and logical reasoning. Instruction includes the use of appropriated technology. Evaluation will be based on class activities, homework, quizzes, and tests. An average amount of homework for this course will be approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours per week.

9 Computer Applications Placement Test Students who have not taken computer applications and feel that they already have basic computer skills can test to see if they qualify for Advanced Computer Applications Testing takes place at GJHS in Room 104 on the following dates: –Feb. 23 rd 5-7 PM –Feb. 24 th 4-6 PM –Feb. 26 th 9-11 AM

11 If you do not complete the pre- registration process, counselors will make your schedule for you.  Start Early  Make Smart Choices Based on your ICAP  Double check that your Name and ID are clearly written  Have your current Math, English, Social Studies, and Science teachers sign off on your next year’s core subjects  Fill out a full year’s schedule  Write down as many Alternative Selections as you can in order to get best schedule according to your interests

12  Wed. January 19 th – Advisory - Educational Planning Guides will be passed out, examined, and then collected.  Wed. January 26 th – Advisory – Registration Packet will be handed out and students will begin the process of selecting classes  Week of Jan 31 st – Feb. 4 th – Counselors are available in the Commons area during lunch to help students on a first come first serve basis.  Wed. February 2 nd – Advisory – More pre-registration support.  Wed. February 9 th – Advisory – All registration forms need to be completed and will be collected!!!  Students will be entering their course requests into the computer at a later date. Counselors will notify students of this future time and date. *WCCC is hoping to let students know their status by Feb. 4th

13 The Release Program is a Privilege  Students must be juniors or seniors  Students must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA  Students must complete a Release Time Request Form  Students must be in the library, in a supervised classroom, OR off school grounds during the release period

14 Senior Options For seniors who are able to complete graduation requirements before May, numerous options are available: 1.Continue Taking Courses At GJHS 2.Early Complete 3.Mesa State College Early Scholars Program --Concurrent --High School Scholars --ASCENT
