8 N ATIONAL C OLLEGE A THLETIC A SSOCIATION College-bound student athletes must register with the NCAA if hoping to play sports at a Division I or Division II school Registering can be done on-line at www.eligibilitycenter.org Transcripts are required to complete application

9 Students MUST pass the Ohio Graduation Test OHIO GRADUATION TEST (OGT)

10 HONORS DIPLOMA CRITERIA (Must Meet Seven of the Eight) 1.Four units of English 2.Four units of Mathematics at least Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II 3.Four units of Science including physics and chemistry 4.Four units of Social Studies 5.Three units of one World (Foreign) Language or two units each of two World (Foreign) Languages 1.One unit of Fine Arts 2.Maintain an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 3.Obtain a composite score of 27 on the ACT or an equivalent composite score of 1210 on the SAT

11 PUPIL LOAD Minimum pupil load is classes per semester not including summer school Seniors that only take five credits will not be able to drop a course i.e.: World Language, electives if they are not carrying more than five credits.

12 ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY ATHLETIC/CO-CURRICULAR/EXTRA-CURRICULAR Students must have received passing grades in a minimum of five one-credit courses or the equivalent. Ninth grade students must maintain a GPA of a 1.8 Tenth-twelfth grades must maintain a GPA of a 2.0 All requirements must be made in the grading period immediately preceding.

13 COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS - CCP Any student interested in the CCP Program must circle 000008 on their Course Selection Sheet. Students must also attend a MANDATORY meeting with their parents on: February 26, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

14 SUMMER SCHOOL DATES FIRST SESSION June 3 RD – June 19 th SECOND SESSION June 22 nd – July 10 th (no class on July 3 rd & 6 th ) Summer school meets from 7:45 a.m. – 12:25 p.m. Summer School Registrations will be available After Spring Break

15 DROPPING A SUBJECT A student may withdraw from a course within the first two weeks without penalty, providing the student’s course load does not fall below five credits for that year. If a course is dropped after the first two weeks, a grade of “F” will be recorded.

16 SCHEDULE CHANGE POLICY Schedule changes may be considered for the following reasons: Result of failures or to meet graduation requirements Administrator changes to meet student needs Necessitated by physical health of a student Completion of course in summer school Mechanical error changes Subject-level changes Classroom balancing

17 ADVANCED PLACEMENT HONORS COURSES Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies: Need teacher recommendation on course selection sheet. AP Courses – Exam Required. Fee for Exam.

18 If you are applying for Early Release / Late Arrival you MUST turn in the EARLY RELEASE / LATE ARRIVAL FORM signed by a parent before the END of the school year. Those students who do not complete this form WILL NOT receive Early Release / Late Arrival. After schedules are printed, schedules WILL NOT be changed to accommodate an Early Release / Late Arrival. EARLY RELEASE / LATE ARRIVAL
