2  Structures were made with different materials like clay, reeds, mats, woven lattices (for many different things) and sun-dried mud-brick (for tombs and temples mainly but also for regular buildings) and stone was scarce. Stones and minerals were transported by many places. There were different ways to quarry.

7 Way 1 Step 1 Cut grooves into rock with either copper chisel and mallet or a diorite pick. Step 2 Drive wooden wedges into grooves. Step 3 Pour water in grooves to swell the wood. Cold water poured on heated rock causes stone to crack.
