2. Scaly with dark brown and black spots. Also known as a “Bluebelly Lizard” because of the bright blue stripes on his belly and throat. Size: Snout to vent (just before the tail) between two and three inches long.

5. This lizard enjoys desert-like environments with lots of hiding places. They’re often found in wood and rock piles, in old buildings, and are occasionally seen sunning themselves on fence posts (like their name implies).
