3 SCHOOL DAY DOORS OPEN 8.45AM - 8.55AM LUNCH TIME 12PM – 1.10PM HOME TIME 3:05PM

4 DOORS OPEN 8.45 – 8.55  Say goodbyes outside  Expect them to come in happily  Pass messages, letters and monies to the staff at the door  Please ensure your child does not play with the outside resources  Learning begins here!

5 LUNCH TIME Packed lunch  Try to include a healthy option and a snack of their own choice  Drink (water or juice)

6 LUNCH TIME School dinner  Free school meals  Healthy – main, dessert and drink provided  We have a new electronic system where the children choose their main meal in the morning. This system will be easy to navigate and can even be ordered at home via your smart phones if you download the appropriate app.  Menu on school website

7 HOME TIME 3.05pm  At reception class doors  Your child’s teacher will come to the door, please ensure you move forward as we will not send your child out until we can see them.  Please ensure your child does not play with the outside resources

8 FOUNDATION STAGE CURRICULUM WE DO NOT ‘JUST PLAY ALL DAY!!’ WE ARE LEARNING THROUGH PLAY!

10 TEACHER LEAD SESSIONS 9:30-10 PHONICS LESSON 11:30-12 MATHS LESSON 1:10-1:40 CIRCLE TIME IN ADDITION TO THIS, YOUR CHILD WILL ALSO HAVE SMALL GROUP SESSIONS WITH A TEACHER IN: GUIDED READING PHONICS MATHS

11 HOMEWORK Following the reading meeting we will have in September, we will send home reading books and key words for you to read at home with your children. At the beginning of the Spring term in January, we will send home writing homework.

12 LEARNING JOURNEYS Our learning journeys are electronic. We take pictures and record observations that link with the learning goals for the curriculum. We will send these observations and pictures home every term via email. Please make sure that the office has an up to date email address.

13 SNACKS YOUR CHILD WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A WATER BOTTLE WHEN THEY VISIT IN SEPTEMBER. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THEY BRING IT FULL EACH DAY WITH THEIR NAME ON. THEY MAY HELP THEMSELVES TO THIS AND A PIECE OF FRUIT THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL DAY. WEDNESDAY IS MILKSHAKE DAY AND FRIDAY IS TOAST DAY!!

14 MAKE AND BAKE A voluntary contribution of £1 a week or you can pay for the half term.

15 SETTLING IN STAGGERED START SO WE CAN GET TO KNOW YOU AND YOUR CHILD. 1.Informal visits to Reception – Wednesday 1 ST July 9:15-10:30am and Wednesday 8 th July 1:30-2:45pm 2.Informal meeting - chance for you, your child and their teacher to learn a little about each other and become familiar with the classroom environment. 3.Half week attendance (week beginning 7 th September) – please ensure that you have completed the relevant form, stating your preference. Your child will stay for their preferred lunchtime arrangement Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. NOT Wednesday. (We will be trying to have an equal number for each session.) 4.Full time attendance from 14 th September onwards.

16 FORMS PLEASE COULD YOU ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE FORMS THAT HAVE BEEN SENT IN THE POST AND RETURN TO THE OFFICE AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE.
