8 + External Coach Clinics Coaching Clinic Structure External coach runs whole clinic Internal coaches assist with aims, objectives and sessions Top sailors have on water session directly with external coach Other sessions run by internal coach, under direction of external coach Briefing & Debriefing run by external coach Plan on 2 clinics per season for Optimists and Lasers Funding through YSF, the Club and Parents Objective Fresh perspective and techniques for race squad coaching Inclusive structure so majority benefit Improve internal coaching abilities and new ideas

14 + Code of Conduct 0% Policy on Swearing 0% Policy on Abusive/Violent Behaviour Role Models – Experience mentors inexperience Protests are actively discouraged, arbitration is the 1 st port of call Attendance Rigged and Ready by start of the session Missing the briefing means you miss the session – holds other sailors back Race Squad must attend all Commodores Cups (unless exceptional circumstances) Advanced Squad must attend all UAE Nationals (unless exceptional circumstances)

17 + International Events Parent led – not DOSC led 5 sailors = DOSC support Event/Entry/Flight fees paid and confirmed prior to DOSC support Once criteria met, inform Sailing Department of dates (ASAP), to allow coach to be scheduled Further Information may be required to help us support you: Hotel the sailors are staying Flights they are on Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must attend the event
