4  Clubs and sports schools are the basic organizational units of athletics.  Clubs are a key interface between the sport and its participants.  Clubs are an important resource for delivering all the educational- sports programs  Best way to promote the values of athletics:  Health  Education  Social integration  Performance  Aim of the project is: “Development of clubs as an organization that promotes the values that sports can offer and tries to make the most successful results at the national and international level in both men and women of all ages” 2. Organization of Competitions:  Competition and performance aspect: The aim is to encourage the competition aspect of athletics, and promote the city of Castellón at national and international level in order to spread the ‘Playas de Castellón’ brand.  Schools Athletics Journeys (Initial Athletics Programs Championships)  Province Athletics Championships  Area Athletics Championships (Valencia Region)  National Clubs Championships (U16, U20 and Senior)  National Outdoor Championships (All the different ages)  European Clubs Championships (U20 and Senior)  European Cross-country Clubs Champsionship (U20 and Senior)  European Throw Winter Cup (U20 and Senior)

19  The aim is to fill human needs in the different areas that are part of an athletics competition by volunteers  The organization of the competition is divided into different areas, where volunteers perform their specific function  Our volunteers are usually:  Club’s athletes (coaches motivate their athletes to volunteer in competitions)  Students of Physical Education Courses  Family of club’s athletes  Coaches 4. 27  Economic Issues:  Need for previous results for getting grants from public and private entities  Need for good coverage in the local media through the activities  Volunteer Recuitment Issues:  Need lots of volunteers for the organization of nacional and international competitions  Lost talent:  The municipal school is not focused in sports performance. The children in this program could go unnoticed by the club. It’s very important the communication between school monitors and club coaches.  Monitors selection:  Lack of people skilled in athletics and has qualities as an educator 6. ISSUES ENCOUNTERED
