5 Student Selection Establish a well defined criteria Be at least 16 years of age by the first day of class; Behind in credits according to grade; Reside in service area Have not yet obtained a high school diploma or GED; Have a minimum eighth (8th) grade reading level as assessed by LACC through a program- administered examination and/or other multiple measures, e.g., CST scores, CAHSEE, and transcripts;

11 Pre-senior Academic Boot camp Primarily focus on study skills Basic overview of essential English skills Basic overview of essential Math skills

12 Supplemental Curriculum for Seniors Additional three hours of math and English instruction per week Focus is on English 101 and Math 125 Reinforces college study skills

13 Pre-Assessment Intensive Course 2 Day Workshop(5 hour days) -Designed to teach students how to take an assessment exam -Prepares them to take any standardized test

14 Overall Goals for CPR College and career readiness Increase dual enrollment opportunities Decrease need for College remediation Increase placement for college level English and math Ensure college success and completion
