2 Archudke Franz Ferdinand Life span: Archudke Franz Ferinand was born on December 18, He was assassinated on June 28, History: He was an Archduke of Austria-Este, Austro-Hungarian and Royal Prince of Hungary. Outcome: After his assassination, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the countries allied with Serbia all declared war on each other. Back To Timeline

3 Back to Timeline Location: Austria Hungary was located in central Europe. Allies: Austria Hungarys allies were Germany and Italy (who betrayed them in May, 1915). Outcome: Created new boundary lines and lost 60% of their land in the process after World War I in January, 1919.
