2 Backchanneling ‘Backchannel noise’ is a form of monitoring device to show the other participant that you are listening e.g. ‘hmm’, ‘ok’ 1.What kinds of backchannel noise do you use in conversation? 2.When do you tend to use backchanneling? e.g. when listening to a friend discuss her boyfriend issues.
