5 THE EDUCATION SUPPORTS THE STUDENTS FOR THEIR FUTURE CAREERS Education is the most important thing used for human being in order to develop their heredity power and reach to the personality with wanted peculiarity. Education makes the people gain the information and skills. People produce their own value for continuing the society's development by the means of education. They take the responsibility for keeping the society's present values and harmonizing the new and old values. These values affect the student's behaviours and the level of their wishes by the means of education. THE PLACE OF SCHOOL IN EDUCATION

6 School is a place where education and training activities are realized carefully, densely. A year training time passes mostly in the classroom. Undoubtedly, schools and classrooms are the places where students are face to face. The main target of training is the creativity of the behaviour, which is realised in these places. The teachers, students, programmes and sources take place in the line of the schools. For that reason, the training quality is bound to the school direction (management) and training materials' quality. Meanwhile, training shouldn't be limited with the school, because the individual is in the society after school hours. In that case, training has been done firstly in the family, then in the society and environment parallel to the school. The important thing is that training inside and outside the school is in a harmony. For that reason, it needs to have fusion between school and life for training. Information, skills and behaviours which are taught to the students have been determined in advance at the schools where you can control everything. These are gained with the education activities by the master teachers.

7 THE DUTIES OF THE GUIDANCE SERVICE IN EDUCATION AT SCHOOL 4- To help the teachers who are interested in training studies' programmes to follow the students' development and adaptation. If there is something wrong, it tries to correct. 5- To work with the students who are in trouble or have some problems and then to find solution for them. 6- To gain information about the professions and higher schools, which the students will be able to attend and then to inform the students about these subjects. We can't ignore the duties of the guidance in education.The students gain a lot of information to take place in the society. 1- To help the class guidance teachers to carry out the guidance programme. 2- To introduce the school and the nearby environment to the new students together with the guidance teacher. 3- To inform the students about the chances of the law and the discipline rules of the school. 7- To prepare the programme at school about the jobs and professions and, to visit these kinds of places together with the students. 8- To apply the psychological measuring materials such as questionnaire, inventory and test in order to have information about the students' general and special abilities, characteristic qualities and knowledge level and then to register this information in the public files and to keep secret of the special and personal information.

8 9- To learn the students who have high intelligence, special abilities and needs and then, to inform these students to the coordinator guidance teachers. 10- To guide students about the subjects such as individual and social adapting problems, difficulties in learning, unsuccessfulness, school and profession choice and teaching programmes,and then to follow them from time to time. 11- To search the items which affect the students' success and to inform the teachers and school headmaster about the results. 12- To keep the reports related to the guidance and physical consultation services, and then to prepare the answer for them and to arrange the reports which are wanted. 13- To make an explanation to the parents about the children's ability, interest, success and progression. 14- To have the preparations on tests, inventories, questionnaires and files in the guidance service. 15- To join the parent-school meeting and to give information about the guidance and psychological consultation service. 16- To follow the other schools' studies and to co-operate with them. 17- To examine the position of post-educated students and to examine the result and give it to the headmaster. 18- To join the discipline meeting. 19- They have to show their annual plans to the headmaster to apply it during the year. 20- In the end of the year, the guidance centre has to give his report about his studies to the co- ordinating guidance teacher.

9 In spite of these studies, there may be some students who can't adapt the school. For that reason, parents and teachers must follow everything with patience. The higher classes the students attend, the harder problems you can have. This time, the teachers' help may be insufficient. In this point, school guidance teacher works hard. Parents – teachers – school directors must be together in every event. You shouldn't look for a serious cause for the problem because a normal event can be a serious problem according to the children. In this case, parents, teachers, directors and psychologists' approach to the event is important to remove these problems. First, you should take the child into consideration seriously and shouldn't hurt. It shouldn't be given the opportunity that she/he seems not to belong to the group. If the students have positive feelings related to the school, they will look forward to attending the school after summer holiday. They run to their schools to reach to their favourite teachers, and their friends. They want to have school activities beforehand.

11 STUDENTS GIVE THE SCHOOL GREAT IMPORTANCE Training and education session starts after school directors, parents, students, and teachers have made a big preparation. All the students and parents who meet the school circumstances at first time get excited a lot and wonder what will happen, so they can worry relatively. They overcome it with the help of their teachers' conscious approach easily. It is also important that parents believe in the schools and teachers and they make their children feel this idea. The attractiveness of the school circumstances, the suitable behaviours of the teachers and school directors make the students adapt to the school easily.

12 STUDENTS GIVE THE SCHOOL GREAT IMPORTANCE ONE OF OUR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES On the other hand, a few students can worry about the holiday which is on the point of finishing. They don't want their holiday to finish because they think about the negative sides of school. But they have to start the school like their friends. These students attend the school unwillingly. The reason of being unwilling to the school may be the negative sides which they have in their families, teachers or their friends.

13 A conscious education approach should be shown to the students not to make the education and training year terrible in the early days of the session. In the following days these students should be helped by finding the problem and solving in a short time and you can make them happy when they are at school. A student's success and adaptation depends on his school acceptance. His school acceptance affects his regular studies such as doing homework, going to school on time and taking care of his responsibilities.

14 The park places, the game gardens, sports fields, the technological games, the computer's unlimited attraction should take place at the schools. The schools shouldn't be the places where students have to attend. They would like to go to the school willingly. The airy classrooms full of lesson materials, workshops where students can develop their handworks, and laboratories, music rooms, sports halls, outdoor and indoor activity places make a school privileged. The schools which exist due to the students should be an institution which gives importance to the their desires, interests and wishes, and they should be open for their proposals.

15 THE EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN FAMILY -SCHOOL Parent involvement is one of the most significant items which affects the students' school success and future career. Students school success is not only due to the activities at school but also due to the parents. Parents can add valuable contribution to their children outside the school. There are some useful ways that help the students' success. Parents can overcome some problems related to their children in order to provide school success.In this way, family-school cooperation is important. School-Family partnership makes the students more successful, have encouragement, self-esteem and the changing of behaviours. On the other hand, family is a main determinant for children to develop the positive treatments between the school and teachers.

16 THE SCHOOL-PARENT COOPERATION The success of students is bound to their families and community. If parents are interested in their children well, those children can be more successful than the others. The school directors need to give professional information to the students, in this way they must support the students in their academic choices. The school – family cooperation and school protection cooperation work together. The school-family cooperation includes headmaster, assistants, teachers and student parents. The purpose of the school-family cooperation is to strengthen the relations between school and family and then to take some precautions for the students to be more successful.

17 The Branches of The School-Family Co-operations are; General Board Management Board Inspection Board These branches work according to the rules. To this law, the school-family cooperation's duties are the followings. To give the students the nation love, citizen love, flag love and human being love. To inform the mothers and fathers the school's aim and the education principals. To inform the parents the school's programmes and the education rules. To contribute the students to be neat, honest, kind and respectful To cooperate with the mothers and fathers for making the students more successful and the increase of their success The parents and the school work together to make the students attend the school regularly. To prepare a suitable place for the students who don't have possibilities to study lesson. To teach the students how to protect the government's possessions. To find the necessary precautions for the children who need special care and courage. To cooperate with the school headmaster and parents to evaluate their free time well, to be healthy, not to have infectious illnesses. To make the parents visiting to schools follow the students' behaviours and studies. To take some precautions about the holiday activities. The parents and students should use the library, school garden on holidays. To contribute to the activities done in the end of the year at school.

19 The School – Community Cooperation Community is the most important factor after family on educating students. But it is generally put into second position because of its informal peculiarity. But to bring up students as a part of society, parallel with the changes and development in the world is impossible without school community and family collaboration. Today it is known that to be more successful, school must follow society, modern life and every progress in the world. If a school shares its goal with the community, it can take the support of community. In Turkey there are a lot of volunteers who help Turkish Education, schools or directly students in many fields. Community arranges a lot of activities such as seminars on educational fields, career assistance, building maintenance and many more. The community can support your work in many ways.

20 Community supports the school with the properties and serving to the school Community supports the poor students financially and provides scholarship You can solve your problem related to the technology in the private institutions. Some classes are provided in the institutions related to the subjects. It may be done as an internship It should be done that you know the community because the school grows up the students who belong to the society and then gives them back to the society. These kind of activities make the students know the natural sources and the raw materials which provide the industrial improvement. Public relationship provides the students some information about the careers, professions and positive thought of their schools. Students can understand what professions are needed in society if there is a close relationship between the school and community.

21 To sum up, if the school staff, parents and community work together, students will be much more successful in their life and will be able to choose suitable jobs. For this purpose, mobile phones, internet, e-mails, different kinds of magazines, newspapers, should be used to take the student success to a higher position.
