1 Mid semester Feedback

2 This PowerPoint slide show is intended to give me the opportunity to apply what I have learned in this course. I will address what I have learned, enjoyed, and what you would like to be changed in the course. This is my chance to show what I know!

3  I have done several individual and group assignments which have required reading, collaboration, higher level thinking and a lot of planning and creativity! Working with my team has been VERY supportive!  I created my second website which includes a blog and can be found at: http://www.freewebs.com/jln5575/ http://www.freewebs.com/jln5575/  My group has been collaborating on assignments on our wiki at http://www.wristwatch.pbwiki.com http://www.wristwatch.pbwiki.com

4 I have learned about the history of computers, about people who were influential in the creation of the first computers, parts of a computer such as RAM, ROM, hard drive, and software. I have learned about the difference between computers and humans, and the similarities and differences of using the computer instead of the traditional library to do research. I have learned how to blog, and how to create a wiki, and collaborate on it with my group. I have learned how to analyze websites to see if they are “treasures” or “trash”, and I created a rubric for my students to be able to do the same. I have also learned that websites contain copyrighted information and students need to know how to site their sources. My teammates and I learned how to put together a newsletter written to other teachers about websites we explored. I have learned to juggle many tasks at once, to collaborate with my group daily, and to reflect upon what I am learning. I am also discovering a new theory called the collaborative theory which is new to me. I have explored videos about web 2.0, and digital learners. Digital learners are multi-taskers, and like to see and hear things when they learn. I wrote a poem to describe them… I have learned how to blog, and how to create a wiki, and collaborate on it with my group.
