1. Good and bad sides of living here.

2. Something about town… Ś widnik is a small town situated in the eastern part of Poland. Its quite young, because it is only over 50 yeras old. Ś widnik is famous for the planes production for all over the world.

3. Ś widnik, like every town has got its good and bad sides. Lets see them…

4. GOOD SIDES

5. Venus – our shopping centre. Since April this year we can be proud of our new city shopping centre- Venus. The shop is very big. Inside of it you can visit many shops with clothes, phones, cosmetics and food. Youve got also a Cafe Seven, where you can drink a cup of delicious coffee or tea. This variety of shops helps you with finding things which you are interested in buying. Moreover, its very probable you will meet your friends there, so thats why Venus is called a new place of meeting.

6. The fountain Last year the mayor of Ś widnik decided to rebuild the old fountain and to make a new one. We must say that it was a great decision. Now we have got the beautiful fountain which attracts pedestrians' attention. Its special, but not the only one Swidniks ornament.

7. Confectioners Its another building which we could be proud of. Mrs. Buchajskas confectioner's is a place where you can come and meet your friends. Of course, you cant forget about buying some cakes, because theyre really delicious. You cant miss the chance to try them.

8. The airport The place which you just cant miss. Big, full of space and beautiful. Its a place, where you want to live. Here you can feel real freedom, when during your flight you dont have to think about any problems. You just fly and watch all these tiny points under yourself.

9. BAD SIDES

10. Playgrounds Playgrounds should insure safety for children. Unfortunately, most of our playgrounds dont fulfil that rule. This fact limits spending time in having fun for many kids in Ś widnik.

11. The center of therapy and development In fact, it should be a palce, which encourages especially young people who have a problem and need help to visit it. Unfortunately, the look of the centre frightens away everyone who just looks at those scribbled walls.

12. Gates Many people say that Swidnik is real safe town without burglars and rubbers. They also say that this safety we owe to the Police and City Guard. But we must say abou vandals, who paint on the walls of blocks of flats often aggressive paints, as well. At this point Police and City Guard do nothing to catch those who destroy our town.

13. Garbage containers Our mayor says that ecology is the most important thing in saving our planet. Of course, he bought some ecology-friendly containers, but in many rubbish heaps we can see bins like these. Inside them you can see all types of rubbish. In our opinion it isnt too ecological, is it…?

14. And something at the end… Świdnik has got a few defects although it has many virtues. Thats why we – Świdnik occupants should be proud of it and take care of its further development. By Madzia Antończak & Monisia Sekutowska kl. II B 1
