3  Prior to actual admission, applicants should have graduated from, and completed 16 units in, an accredited secondary school. Secondary school study should consist of college preparatory work in the following areas:  English (4 years)  Mathematics (3 years)  Natural sciences (2 years)  Social sciences, including U.S. History (2 years)

4  Offering 100 majors in more than 80 fields of study, our undergraduate curriculum is nationally honored. Students can pursue academic research, international study, career-starting co-op programs and internships, and a growing array of community engagement activities.

5  Admission to Eastern is competitive. The Admission Committee considers many factors when evaluating applications for admission. The student admitted for the class of 2012:  Ranked in the top half of their high school class  Earned an average GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)  The middle 50th percentile Critical Reading and Math SAT score between 930-1100  Demonstrated academic success in a solid schedule of college preparatory courses in high school

6  WestConn requires that candidates for admission have a high school diploma from an accredited secondary school or an equivalency diploma. General Educational Development (GED) scores must be converted into a State of Connecticut Equivalency Diploma. The following guidelines must also be met:  SAT (1000 guideline) ACT also accepted  Rank in Class (top one-third guideline)  B- average in the following:  4 years of English  3 years math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2)  2 years social sciences, including US History  2 years of laboratory sciences  2 to 3 years of foreign language (3 recommended)

11  I recommend going to Central Connecticut State University because it has the lowest tuition yearly.
