2 2 John Krane -- Iowa State University The Birth of YPP Contribute to long-term HEP planning Write a document? – We had divergent opinions – Fairly homogenous demographics Global Survey – Reach more labs, more people Snowmass – Perform survey there? – Present results there? – How about both! How do you know you dont live in a pocket of like-minded people? May 2000 YPP formed by Bonnie Fleming, John Krane, Geralyn Sam Zeller ~ 15 members in original group Young = non-tenured
