1 Shaffer LEADER March 2011 Have you asked your student how many book reports they have Completed for the 25-book standard? The students have been told regularly by their teachers that not completing this requirement will result in exclusion from FUN Day on Friday, May 27 th. Plus, every student who completes the 25 reports gets a great reward from your PTO! March brings the Scholastic Book Fair with a Family Night Event, more Lunches with the Principal, PSSA Testing and a hoagie sale fundraiser with Fox’s Pizza. The success of this FINAL fundraiser will determine what kind of field trips and FUN Day your PTO can afford, so please try your best to help us turn a big profit! According to the calendar, Spring is almost here and we should be safe from any delays and/or closings, but this is Pittsburgh! Don’t forget to check the newsline at 412.256.3324 for up-to-the minute news in our District. Don’t forget, Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, March 3 rd from 12:30pm-8pm.
