5 MAIN THEME ‘Sport … Inspiring a learning legacy’ Echoes the inspiration theme used in the UK Olympic Games bid The “knowledge Olympics”

6 OBJECTIVES To celebrate sport sciences across the UK and internationally To exchange sport science, clinical and pedagogic information To promote education about science, education and medicine in sport To encourage multi-disciplinary approaches To network amongst researchers, pedagogues, clinicians and practitioners To present cutting edge research and developments To secure public engagement by young people and ordinary members of our communities
