3. History of INIS UC foundation 1973 Presidium of Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. Order №782, 15.06.1973 about assigning to Kiev Institute for Nuclear Research of AS of the USSR the functions of the collection and processing of research papers on nuclear sciences by INIS system. Pysanko Zh.I., a Senior Scientific Researcher from INR of AS of the USSR was assigned as a liaison officer from INIS IAEA 1990 Accepted decree of State Committee on the Use of Atomic Energy of the USSR on independent input from Ukraine to INIS Database (Pysanko Zh.I. -INIS LO of UKRAINE). 1992 INIS Secretariat of the Department of Nuclear Energy IAEA has developed and implemented a project “Establishing a National INIS Centre – Ukr/0/002”. 1996 A reorganization of the INIS Center to the INIS Ukrainian Center was performed (INIS UC). 15 October 2014, Vienna3Pysanko, Zh.I.

Main goals of INIS Ukrainian Center  the search for scientific publications, published in Ukraine and appropriate to the subject of the INIS Databases (nuclear power, its peaceful use, material science, radiation medicine, ecology, etc.);  participation in filling the INIS Database: processing of selected information according to general instruction of INIS Secretariat. Input formation, its sending, along with full texts of non-conventional literature to INIS Secretariat;  analysis of the INIS Database information array for potential users as in the institutions of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, so for scientists from other agencies on their topics of interest. Study the consumer needs;  promotion of the INIS Database opportunities to provide necessary search information for interested persons. User trainings for specific request compilation.
