Captions should be: - large enough print to be easily read - of contrasting color to be easily seen - brief, so as not to distract from the video

Captions examples This caption’s print is too small Bad color choice! This caption is much too long and removes the focus from the video…

Transitions could be used to introduce a new topic or simply to change scenes.

But just how does one add captions and transitions to their video? Let’s find out some techniques using Roxio’s VideoWave…….

Enter text in the text editor window. The text appears over the background.

Adjust text alignment and Font size.

Use the mouse to position text in the ViewScreen

Transitions offer ways to blend the end of one clip with the beginning of the next clip. To add or replace a transition, drag a transition from the Library and place between clips on the Storyline.

Remember to make your captions large enough, visible and brief. Transitions offer a creative way to change scenes and subject matter.
