2 Lights! Camera! Action! Produce a movie using Movie Maker.

3 Windows Movie Maker Allows you to create audio and video in your computer from a digital camera or video and then use them in your movies. You can also edit the audio and video content of your Windows movie maker. You can add transitions and effects to enhance your movie.

5  Title Bar – Displays the name of the program and file  Menu Bar – shows the commands such as File, Edit, View, Tools, Clips, Play and Help  Task Pane – Shows the list of common tasks that you may need to perform when making a movie, including importing files, editing and publishing your movie.  Contents Pane - Displays the clips in the selected collection folder.  Preview Monitor – Shows the clip or picture that you are working on.  Storyboard / Timeline – are two display views where you create and edit your movie. You can switch between these two views while working on a project.

7 To Add Narration: 1.Connect the microphone to your computer. 2.Click the "Narration" icon in the timeline. This icon is the second from the left. Or click "TOOLS," then "Narrate Timeline". 3.Drag the playback indicator to an empty spot in the timeline. 4.CLick the "Start Narration" button and begin talking into the microphone. 5.Click "Stop Narration" when you are finished.

8 To Add Music to a Movie: 1.Find the song you wish to use and import it to the "COLLECTIONS" pane. 2.Click on the clip and drag it to the "Audio/Music“ To Shorten an Audio Clip: 1.Slide the playback indicator to the point where you want the audio clip to start. 2.Click the "SPLIT CLIP" button on the monitor, or click "CLIP" and "SPLIT". 3.Slide the playback indicator to the point where you want the audio clip to end. 4.Click the "SPLIT CLIP" button on the monitor, or click "CLIP" and "SPLIT". 5.Now, click on the parts that you DO NOT WANT and then delete it.

9 In Movie Maker you cannot remove the audio from a movie clip. However, you can get around this by reducing the volume. 1.Make a clip of the section of the movie you need to adjust the volume. 2.Right click on the clip. 3.Click on "Volume". 4.Move the slider to increase or decrease the clip's volume. 5.Click "OK".

10 Adding Title: 1.Select "MAKE TITLES OR CREDITS" from the Edit Movie section of the Movie Tasks. 2.Select where you wish to add this title. 3.Enter the Title of the movie in the box 4.Select "EDIT THE FONT" to change the font, color, or size. 5.Select "CHANGE THE ANIMATION" to select and animation.

11 1.Select "SAVE MOVIE" from the FILE menu. 2.Select "MY COMPUTER" -Save your movie for playback on your computer. 3.Click the "NEXT" button. 4.Enter a name for your movie. 5.Select a place to save your movie. I suggest the "My Videos Folder". 6.Click the "NEXT" button. 7.Select the "BEST QUALITY FOR PLAYBACK ON MY COMPUTER" option. 8.Click the "NEXT" button. Saving a movie may take a few minutes or so.
