2 Background SSCs as a minimum will: – Drive skills, productivity and employability – Produce market information – Set occupational standards – Develop and promote learning frameworks – Operate across UK Nations Employers must lead SSCs

3 The SSC Stages Stage 1: Submit Expression of Interest Stage 2: Develop and test business plan Stage 3:Agree and submit full proposal Successful bids lead to SSC license
