2  Notify students about the CLAS Requirement  Inform students of CLAST scores and alternative methods/waivers to meet requirements  Evaluate students’ eligibility for alternatives/waivers  Coordinate duplicate CLAST score requests  Initiate requests for Gatorlink accounts for non-ITA staff

3  Maintain the CLAST Historical Database;  Provide technical assistance for ITAs using the CLAST Historical Database;  Provide duplicate score reports to individual examinees; and  Store test materials as required by the record retention schedule for CLAST materials.

4  Serve as the public spokesperson for the CLAST program;  Oversee CLAST activities statewide  approve each ITA appointment;  assign and monitor the performance of the UF-AT CLAST Office; and  review and process complaints from individuals or institutions.

6  Before you begin, you must have  UF ID  Gatorlink ID  Gatorlink password assigned by UF and must be changed within 7 days

7  Before you begin, you must have  UF ID assigned number (e.g., 1208 2344)  Gatorlink ID your name.college initials (e.g., jsmith.ucf)  Gatorlink password assigned by UF and must be changed within 7 days

8  Provide the following to the UF-AT CLAST Coordinator (standik@ufl.edu):standik@ufl.edu  user’s full name  position title  phone number  e-mail address  date of birth  Allow 10-12 business days for processing

9  Download and Install the UFL-VPN software: http://net-services.ufl.edu/provided_services/vpn/ 1. Click on the “Software” link. 2. Enter your Gatorlink ID and Password. 3. Download the appropriate software for your operating system and install.

10 5. Once the VPN is installed, it will be added to your list of program files. 6. Navigate over to the Gatorlink VPN Client to select it.

11 7. Windows XP will show the status of your connection in a small box. Click connect. 8. 12 8. VISTA users will see a different screen option. The VPN may not show up under the Program Files. Icons will appear in the lower right corner of the screen. 9. Click the one which looks similar to a monitor.

13 10. Highlight Gatorlink VPN and click Connect. NOTE: the screen is very different from Windows XP

14 11. UNCHECK: Save the Username and Password” option. A saved password makes it difficult to trouble shoot issues. 12. Click to add text and enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD. Note: you are using your assigned Gatorlink ID PLUS ‘@ufl.edu/clast’. gatorlink@ufl.edu/clast ex: wcooke@ufl.edu/clast gatorlink@ufl.edu/clast

15  Open your Web browser (after connecting to the UFL-VPN).  Enter https://clastreg.at.https://clastreg.at. ufl.edu/history. (Add this address to your Favorites?)ufl.edu/history  Enter your Gatorlink ID and Password. Note: Do not add ‘@ufl.edu/clast’ this time!

16  To display a student’s score:  Click on the “Student Score” link.  Last & first name are required if no CLAST ID is entered.  You may use wildcard “%” in non-numerical fields as needed.

17 Success!

18  Be sure to logout of the CLAST Historical Database  And disconnect from the VPN. (Your movement to other sites may be limited until you disconnect.)
