6 Summary This chapter was about a boy and his Grandfather and a lot of other people including his dog Searchlight. Grandfather got sick and Little Willy didn’t know until he didn’t wake up. Then Searchlight and Little Willy found Doc. Smith for help.

The other racers did not attempt to cross the lake. She also wanted to win the race to help Grandfather to pay taxes. Little Willy and Searchlight were close to winning the race.
