4 Registration Management Committee (RMC) Atlanta, GA July 22-23, 2010 4 Agreed Principles Auditor Authentication will be a combination of qualifications (e.g., auditor training, work experience) and demonstrated competence. The primary focus of the competency demonstration will be on auditing behaviors and audit process There will be 3 paths to certification: AA path, AEA path and a path for AAs to become AEAs.

5 Registration Management Committee (RMC) Atlanta, GA July 22-23, 2010 5 Agreed Principles The auditor requirements will cover initial authentication, on-going maintenance and re-authentication. The initial process will require pre-requisites (e.g. AQMS training), measurement of audit competency against defined criteria, review by the AAB and SMS. Recertification will follow the same process, without the requirement for review by the SMS.

6 Registration Management Committee (RMC) Atlanta, GA July 22-23, 2010 6 Identified Issues 1.Who will write the detailed content of each section. 2.Need to agree on principles related to training and training provider authentication. 3.Incorporation of applicable resolutions. 4.Consideration of what training may be needed in addition to the Aerospace Auditor Transition Training (AATT) course, especially for auditors new to the scheme. 5.Ensure consistency with revisions to /1 and /2 standards.
