How did the United States build up its armed forces so quickly? What was the name of the law that made this possible? Millions of men volunteered and millions more were drafted. The law was called the Selective Service Act.

Who were the 99th Fighter Squadron? Why were there only African American pilots in this unit? They were the Tuskegee Airmen. There were only African Americans in this unit because the military was still segregated.

What was the name of the largest concentration camp? Where was it located? Auschwitz, the largest concentration camp, is located in Poland.
