Knowing the meanings of Greek or Latin roots, prefixes and suffixes can help them understand a word they don’t know.
We are going to read a story called “The Cave in the Cliff”. You are going to make a list of all the words you can find that have a Greek or Latin root. Write what you think it means.

The climax, or high point, is when Gramps suddenly comes up the mountain, and they smell something good.
This signals me that something is about to happen to resolve the problem.
