2 What is the NBCS? The National Business Crime Solution (NBCS) is a ‘Not for Profit’ Initiative that provides a collaborative solution to more effectively tackle cross border, serious and organised crime affecting business. By providing a central repository where business crime data is submitted, shared and analysed the NBCS is able to gather the necessary intelligence and support to more effectively detect, prevent and subsequently respond to crimes affecting the UK’s business community.

3 Supported by Recognise value of a public-private sector partnership & centralised data repository Provides an intelligence led approach to tackling rising serious and organised crime Maximise opportunities to prevent and detect crime by working with: Police analyst, Policing SPOCs & GAIN network

4 NBCS Vision To enable the effective sharing of appropriate data between the police and the business community which identifies criminal behaviour, reduces risk to staff and customers and leads to the arrest of offenders. This will be achieved through the NBCS Strategic Priorities:

5 NBCS Strategic Priorities 1. Establish central repository for provision of data sharing – recognised as only effective solution in UK 2. Identify full nature & extent of the threat to business by pooling data from business with that from the police/public sector 3. Issue timely information & alerts to enable better preventative action & engagement with the police on cross border organised criminal networks/teams 4. Act as single point of contact between all partners to allow collation of relevant information & better inform businesses on resources to risk 5. NBCS to provide ‘Not for Profit’ scheme open to all businesses and Government enterprises
