29 Taxi No standard price for taxi services, but drivers are required to display their prices, usually on the door. A reasonable price is CZK 25 per km. A drive from both Hlavní nádraží (the Main Railway Station) and Hotel Grand bus station to Kounicova Halls of Residence should cost approximately CZK 120. Don’t use taxi in Prague! 40 Safety and security Generally low rate of crime in Czech Republic Main problem: Street crime – particularly pick-pocketing and occasional mugging Violent crime (still relatively infrequent), are becoming more common in Prague Don’t take open drinks at bars or clubs Be careful while riding trains, trams or metro, where most crime occurs Watch out the traffic!
