3 Registration Process  Register online at www.oscscouts.orgwww.oscscouts.org  Send payment – credit card online or check by mail  Complete release forms  Complete BSA Health and Medical Form Part A & B  Complete Volunteer Form  Attend one of the three parent orientation meetings  Register for Pixie Camp if applicable

4  What: Highlander Day Camp- Fayetteville North  Who: Registered Scouts in Rising 1st grade-Rising 5th grade  Where: St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church,  1000 Andrews Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311  When: June 23-27, 2014  DROP OFF/PICK UP  Monday-Thursday; 8:00 am-4:00 pm  Friday 8:00 am -noon  How much: $85 per scout  Why: To Have FUN! Scouts participate in the following activity centers:  Each scout must bring a water bottle, snack and lunch.  REGISTRATION: online only at http://www.ocscouts.org

5 What do you get for registering?  Fun with a Purpose  Quality Outdoor Experience  Archery, BB, Arts, Cooking, Safety, STEM- Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, Webelos specific activities, and more!  Potentially earning belt loops, pins, rank achievements  Participation in Summer Time Activity Event  2 day camp t-shirts  Make new friends and memories

6 What to Bring?  Uniform- day camp t-shirt, shorts, closed toed shoes, hat (covers ears)  Water bottle, camel back okay  Bandana  Day pack  Sunscreen

7 What NOT to Bring  Knives  Electronics  Cell phones  Sodas  Sugary foods and drinks  Pets (service animals are permitted)

8 What is expected of your scout?  In order to provide a safe and enjoyable environment, scouts are expected to be respectful and kind to others.  Inappropriate behavior will be redirected.  A “three strikes and your out” policy applies for continued inappropriate behavior. This includes but is not limited to foul language, bullying, hitting, kicking, biting and creating an unsafe environment.

9 What is expected of you?  Feed your child breakfast after a good night’s sleep  Arrive between 8 and 8:30 am, sign in and verify contact info for the day  Send your child prepared for the day (water, snack, lunch, correct uniform, etc)  Medications bagged and tagged, turn in to medical director If your child is on regular medication, do not discontinue for camp If your child has any special needs, be sure to indicate those needs on the BSA Health and Medical Form  Arrive on time for pick up at 4 pm and sign out your child  BE Youth Protection trained  Volunteer

10 Volunteers  This is an all volunteer staff camp. Camp is only possible if we have volunteers.  Let us know how you can help.  All families must volunteer one adult for one day.  Tigers are required an adult partner to be with them at all times. This counts as volunteering.  Volunteers who volunteer for all 5 days receive a gift card.  Everyone who enters camp must have been Youth Protection trained and proof of training on file with the Camp Director.

11 What is Pixie Camp?  Childcare for camp volunteers’ daughters or younger children while they are working at camp.  Cost is $5 per day or $25 for the week per family.  This includes their program and crafting activities.  You provide water, snacks, lunch, toiletries, and a change of clothes. Bring all items labeled in a bag.
