6 City  City is the center of a place.  What is most of the land in the city used for? Most of the land in the city is used for commercial activities.  Would you build residential or industrial building in the city? Why? No, it is because the area of city is very expensive.

7 City  Is it easy for you to get to the city? Yes, I can get to the city easily with different transport means.  Can you give one example of transport means? Bus, MTR, Taxi….

8 Farmland  Where can you find the farmland? Farmland can be found in the rural area of a place Rural: a place that related to the country.  What do people usually do in the farm land? They usually keep animals and cultivate land.

9 Farmland  Since the landscape of Hong Kong is not suitable for farming, _______ is not common. Since the landscape of Hong Kong is not suitable for farming, farmland is not common  What are the characteristics of the farmland. No tall building, fresh air, not well- planned…

23  According to the map of the Hong Kong, where were most of the urban areas developed ? Most of the urban areas were developed around Victoria Harbor. It is the center of Hong Kong and most trading activities were conducted at that area. Examples of these areas are Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, etc.

24 Urban Area  Recently, the urban areas are going to be re- developed. The reasons are: The buildings are old and dangerous. They may collapse. Not well planned in the early stage. The use of the land is not fully utilized.

25 New towns  Can you give some examples of new towns?  Sha Tin, Tai Po, Tsing Yi, etc.  Why people like to live in these new towns? The new towns are new developed. People can get what they need within the area. There are also enough residential place. People may also get a job nearby where they live.
