Grading Scale A= 90-100 B=80-89C=70-79 D=60-69F=0-59 All middle school courses require either a semester exam or a state End of Course (EOC) exam. The 9 weeks grade and semester exam grades will appear separately on the report card. To pass a semester course a student must earn a minimum of a D average for the semester grade and pass at least one 9 weeks. The semester grade is determined by averaging both 9 weeks grades AND the semester exam. 6 th grade semester exams are weighted 15% of grade.

11 What every 6 th grade student wants to know ……. How much time do I have between classes? How much contact am I going to have with the 7 th and 8 th graders? Where do I go if I am having trouble with other students? What kind of homework and how much of it am I going to have? How much time will I get for lunch? Will I still see my friends from elementary school? Do I have to dress out for Physical Education?
