3. I WILL BE READING A FAIRY TALE ALOUD ABOUT A YOUNG MAN AND A DRAGON. Comprehension Skill: Understanding Fairy Tales When and where does this fairy tale take place? What make-believe character is in this fairy tale? What character has special powers? What problem has to be solved? How is the problem solved?

4. This week we will be reading two fairy tales in this section. We will learn about the characteristics of fairy tales, and try writing a fairy tale of your own.

12. Cinderella We will discuss what Cinderella you remember hearing. We will watch four stories of different versions of Cinderella. 27. 1) You will be working in pairs (the hat will assign you) to read and fill out the story map for Yeh-Shen. 2) You will be working with a partner to sequence the fairy tale “The Three Little Pigs” and you may add pictures. 3) Then you will sequence Cinderella on your own by making a chain of events.
