What is Music Theory? Music theory is the study of how music corresponds with structures and numerical patterns. An example is frequencies from half step to half step. Another is rest and note values. They are represented by fractions.

What is Audio Engineering? An audio engineer is a person who sets up, records, and masters musicians of all genres. You must have real determination to do this because it takes a lot of patience and precise skill to make your clients happy. I will take a 6-month apprenticeship at an actual studio that will cost 75 percent less than that of an actual music college.

Facts about being a Music Producer The salary is anywhere between 29.5K to 62.6K annually. You spend countless of hours in a studio dealing with clients that range from all sorts of genres. If you want your music to sell and be heard you must be ahead of the game and take challenges when they come your way.

Facts about the Music Industry. What you have heard about the music industry is true. It is all about who you know. This where my apprenticeship will help because I will be working with real musicians and real producers. They will all become my contacts for future plans.

My reasons for joining this field. The music that I compose, is my life. However, you can’t be in a band for your entire life. I need a stable job that I can fall on to. Being in a band and working in music production go hand and hand. I can record my band and I while saving a little bit of money.
