2  What human right is being broken?

3  To present to the class an explanation of a time when human rights have been violated  Support this presentation with a PowerPoint which is fit for purpose

4  C2.1 Speaking and Listening  (b) Give a talk/presentation of at least four minutes.  EXT : Level 3 = 8 mins

5  Exam the facts on Human Rights  Research where and how Human rights are still being broken.  Produce a 5 minute presentation to be delivered to the class.  You must use a power point... Remember power points don’t contain all the info you want to say! This must be in an additional script  Ext: Level 3 must be 8 mins

6  PowerPoint plan  Research (include references)  Spider diagram of key points  PowerPoint  Script  Witness statement (TFL)  Evaluation (To be explained next lesson)

7  After each presentation provide your class with constructive criticism.  What did you really like about their presentation?  How could they improve?  Use the hand out to record your observations

8  Title: Giving and receiving instructions  You have all received Teacher and peer evaluation  Use this to write a Self Evaluation of the communication skills you used.

9  Structure it as follows: - What did you do? We had to research Human right violations……. I found out ……. I produced a PowerPoint including ……. Because……… I found this information ………. I watched my class’s presentations ……… I learnt ……. Etc - What did you do well? I was told I used the following communication skills well ………………… this helped my presentation because…………………… I liked …… presentation because……….. - How can you improve? I was told I need to improve on ……… I will do this by ………………………………this will mean …….etc

10  ALL learners should have now completed their presentations.  You MUST write up an evaluation. Use your Peer evaluation sheets to comment on What you did well how could you improve.  Include a subheading; Giving and receiving instructions. Describe the instructions you were given on how you could improve and how you plan to use these. Explain instructions you gave others.

11  When has a human right been broken?  How?  What was the consequence for those involved?  What is your thoughts and feelings on this?
